Basic Operations for Worksheet


Below are basic operations in a worksheet.

  1. Edit a form
  2. Modify name, icon and record name
  3. Copy, delete and restore a worksheet
  4. Move a worksheet
  5. Sort and hide a worksheet
  6. Set groups
  7. Expand or hide sidebar

Edit form

Click [ Edit form] to enter the design page where you can add or edit fields.

How to edit worksheets

Modify name, icon, and record name

Record name

The default name for each row of data in a worksheet is Record. You can customize the name according to your scenarios. For example, in the worksheet Task, a record is a task, thus you can change the record name to Task.

Copy, delete and restore a worksheet

1. Copy Worksheet

  • Entrance

If the worksheet is associated with other worksheets, you can choose which associated fields are copied; the associated fields that are not copied will be converted to text fields.

What is not copied

  • Data in each record of the worksheet is not copied
  • Discussions and logs in the worksheet are not copied

2. Delete/Restore Worksheet

Only App Admins have permission to delete and restore worksheets.

  • Delete

  • Restore

    • Worksheets that have been completely deleted cannot be restored.

    • Deleted worksheets can be restored within 60 days, and those deleted for over 60 days are automatically deleted completely.

    • If a worksheet is restored, its structure, such as the association with other worksheets is also restored.

Move Worksheet

You can move a worksheet to another group in this application or to another application in the organization.

Only App Admins have permissions to move worksheets.

Sort/Hide Worksheet

  • Sort

  • Hide

Some worksheet is only used in association fields; thus, you can hide it in the sidebar.

Set Group

When there are multiple worksheets in the application, you can create groups to categorize and manage them. The groups will be displayed at the top of the application, so that you can switch between worksheets quickly.

For example, in the application Sales Management,there are worksheets like order, inventory, supplier, client, etc. Accordingly, you can create two groups, which are product and contact.

  • Create Group
  • Sort Group

Click on a group and drag it left and right to adjust its place.

Hide/Expand Sidebar

Click the icon to hide the sidebar, which helps to expand the display area for the data.

Click the icon again to expand.
