Triggering Mode – Timed Triggering
Timed triggering: You can set a recurring cycle time like 8am every Monday, and the workflow will be triggered automatically at 8am every Monday.
Scenario:
- Set a workflow to automatically send employees a record at 18:00 everyday to fill in the daily working summary.
How to set timed triggering workflows
Choose [Timed Triggering] when creating a workflow
Start Time
The start time is the time when the workflow is first executed. The workflow starts its first loop trigger at this time. The default time is 8:00 on the day.
End Execution Time
If it is not a workflow that executes in a permanent loop, you can select a time and the workflow will be closed automatically when the specified time is reached.
Loop
The period of the cycle can be every hour, daily, workday (Monday to Friday), weekly, monthly, yearly, or a custom cycle.
The date of the loop is based on the start time you set for the workflow.
For example, the start time selected in the above figure is 2021-09-01 (Wednesday), if it is a weekly cycle, the workflow will be triggered every Wednesday; if it is a monthly cycle, the workflow will be triggered on the first day of each month; if it is a yearly cycle, the workflow will be triggered on September 1 every year.
Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding holidays. If you need Monday to Saturday, please set a custom cycle.
Custom Cycle
In addition to the cycles supported by the system, more flexible custom cycles are also supported.
For example, you can set the workflow to be triggered at 9:00 every day; or you can set the workflow to be triggered at a certain time every Wednesday and Friday.
